Scitech Fun

Last Friday, my mom and I took the girls to the Scitech Hands On Museum in Aurora.

Trying to balance the scale and see how many cows it takes to equal the mass of one wolly mammoth. We had only 13 cows, and it didn't quite balance out, I think we probably needed one or two more to make it perfect.

Standing in a tornado.

E and R being eaten by a T-Rex.

Rebekah loved operating this hot air balloon.

There is an exhibit there describing how agriculture has developed from Bible Times to the current day, here the girls are grinding wheat into flour by hand.

As part of the same exhibit Rebekah is sorting produce.

Air came up through vents in the top of this table and she was able to experiment with the different sized and shaped parachutes.

Emma testing out the different smell samples. They had some really nice scents like jasmine, lavender, and vanilla. She didn't get that many on the first try though, I had to give her clues.

Riding a bike to generate electricity to light the light bulbs. She got 11 out of 18 lit.

On the smaller bike. The screen lit up to show the kids what parts of their body were moving (and working) to peddle the bike.

As Emma pulled the cord, a huge bubble surrounded Rebekah. They both thought it was funny and cool.

Playing with the giant bubble tray.

Building with Grandma. After spending time at this table, my mom said she was going to get the girls a bunch of sticks to build with at her house since it kept them busy for so long. (It's always the small things that catch their interest the most)
