Last Wednesday at church, our MPact Girls program held an awards ceremony to recognize the "Girls of the Year." I'm one of the kindergarten Daisies teachers, and since we are the youngest club, the ceremony started with us recognizing our top three girls. The girls earn 12 badges each year, and score points based upon their work within the curriculum. All of my students that have attended regularly since the beginning of the year are already "Honor Daisies," which means that they have earned 9 out of the 12 badges, which I was very happy about! And even though she was in the difficult position of being the teacher's kid, Emma did an awesome job!
Alyssa accepting her 3rd grade Stars award. Her class is the largest in church history, and the girls at her grade level are all very high acheivers!
With her friends, Julianna and Annalese as the third grade class recognizes their top three "Stars of the Year." Their point system in Stars is similar to ours in Daisies, except that they add some more challenging "Honor Step" credits. It's quite a bit more work, but her teachers make it a lot of fun!
