Last Friday was Emma's end of the year pizza party at school. On our way over to school at lunch time, I pulled over to take a picture of this billboard for Rebekah. This purple "R" has been up there for weeks now, and when we first saw it, I thought for sure there would be some kind of addition to the advertisment. I pointed it out to Rebekah, and now she looks for HER purple "R" everytime we drive by. After weeks passed and the "R" has stood there alone, we decided that they must have put it up there just for her enjoyment :)
Frau Braun treated the kids to a pizza party as a reward for all their hard work and learning this year. The kids LOVED it, and even got to drink root beer as a special treat. You can't see Em in this pic, I was trying to get a shot of the entire class enjoying their pizza, and somehow missed my own little Emma.
Aayliah, Bekah, and Emma at Emma's table. Frau Braun offered the baby pizza but she opted for the PB sandwich I made for her instead.
Emma was such a nice big sister staying right by Rebekah's side even though it might have been easier to run ahead with her friends. Here, they are catching up with the rest of the kids as we walk out to the park.
Emma and her friends resting in the grass, eating cookies.
The kids had a treasure hunt all around the huge park that surrounds the school's block. Emma found a clue near these trees.
We also had a balloon toss. Each time they successfully caught the balloon they took a step back from their partner until someone gets soaked. Claire's little sister, Katie and Kamele played so nicely together.
The class listening to instructions for their next game: the Egg Relay.
Watching her teammate, Emma was so afraid the egg was going to drop and break. (We didn't tell the kids the eggs were hard-boiled.)
Here, Emma has discovered our secret. When the egg finally did fall to the ground, it cracked a little, but the kids didn't get the mess they were expecting. She is running up Frau Braun to show her the hard-boiled egg.
All the girls in the class.
The class sitting in the grass for circle games. It was really cute how all of Emma's classmates were super excited to include Rebekah in their games. If you look to the far side of the circle, Emma's friend, Willow is sitting next to Rebekah with her arm around her. They all had a fun afternoon.

Our school does a park day too, very similar to this. (But you already know that from seeing my blog, LOL). And, yes, to answer your question, I was exhausted at the end of the day!
