I was looking at all the photos we took over the 4th of July and decided to post some more. I played around with a few, making them black and white, and they aren't in any great order but...
This is a baby bunny who has been running all over our yard and driveway with its brothers and sisters. Kahiwa just missed it, she left on Sunday to spend a few days at my parents, and hasn't seen the bunnies playing that much. We've gotten small peeks at them before now, but in the last week now that they are bigger and more adventuresome we see them constantly! The girls have always wanted a pet and Dad has told them if they can catch a bunny, they can keep it. They lure them out of the bushes in our yard where they seem to live with baby carrots all the time.
I thought this picture of Rebekah talking to my mom was cute.
Rebekah by a rooster in the Milwaukee Public Market. We stopped there to pick up dessert after eating dinner downtown last Friday.
We played dominoes with the girls for the first time Friday night, and they LOVED it. Such a simple game, but so much fun!
Ka'iulani hugging Dad.
Alyssa's treat from the Public Market, a HUGE gingersnap.
Emma chose a very patriotic star cookie.
Rebekah chose an ice cream cone sugar cookie, she wouldn't turn it towards me so I could see it better, but it was orange and very cute.
At the parade, once again, Alyssa running in black and white.
Emma running through the crowd.
Emma was so sweet, there was a lady at the parade throwing out bead necklaces and she caught one. I could tell she really wanted it, but she gave it to her little sister anyway. Kamele loved it, of course!
Grandma pretending to throw Alyssa. I was surprised she could even lift her that easily, it's not so easy for me anymore!!
Our 3 girls playing ladder ball in the backyard with Kenzie and Skylar.
Cute smiles with the pretty patriotic flowers in our yard.
Hands on her hips happy ;)
Silly cheesy smiles that have been so common for her the last couple of months.
Emma black and white.
Busy making pie at her sand and water table. I should have posted the picture of the real apple pie we ate. It's not even my favorite dessert, but it tasted so good on the 4th of July with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream!
Sitting in her wagon, the sand and water table pie had to come to the park with us.
Riding her bike on the open blacktop.
A picture of Ka'iulani smiling while riding her bike!! This is uncommon for her, she usually has such an intense look of concentration while on bike rides.
At the school near our house, they have a big map of the US painted on the blacktop. I asked the girls to chose a state to stand in for a picture. Kamele straddled the Great Lakes.
All 3 girls in their state of choice.
Emma ran for Wisconsin right away.
After being coaxed out of the Great Lakes Rebekah randomly chose Pennsylvania.
Alyssa ran to Texas. Not sure why, we've never been there.
Playing baseball before the fireworks.

bummer, our state didn't even make it into your picture :)
What a fun way to spend the 4th! I love seeing all the red, white, and blue attire... it's the one day I actually feel like we are one United Country :)
