Decorating the Tree

All week long the girls had been looking forward to decorating the tree on Friday night, so after Nikolaus Tag at school, we went home to decorate!

The chocolate from the advent calendars continue to be the subject of many photos :-)

 Kahiwa's December 4th piece.

Emma was very careful with all the ornaments and did a great job trying to be sure they were distributed all throughout the tree. She was very concerned about the back of the tree getting as much attention as the front.

With a great amount of concentration and care, Alyssa hung each ornament as if it might crumble in her hands at any moment. She notified me immediately if Rebekah even looked at one of the breakable ornaments. Careful, careful!

Rebekah very patiently waited for her sisters to hand her the unbreakables, and she hung each ornament with special care on the exact branch that was suggested to her, she did not once try to grab the pickle ornament out of Alyssa's hand {okay, that's not exactly how it happened :-) }. She did do her best though, and not one ornament was broken, which might be a first for us.

We hung a lot of the craft ornaments that the girls have made over the last few years on a garland that's wrapped on the hand rail going up the stairs. They loved the job of decorating this with all their handmade special ornaments.

Doesn't the house seem so cheery and bright with all the Christmas decorations all over the house! I love having little hands to help me out!!

The girls did a great job on your tree!
