One day last week, we took all the kids to Pearl Harbor. It was a long day and we have lots of pictures. It was another sweet day of the girls playing with their cousins and having lots of fun!
We started the day out on the deck of the USS Bowfin submarine from which we had a great view of the Arizona Memorial and the Missouri battleship.
Ka'iulani was excited to go in the submarine. It's the second WWII sub she's been able to visit in the last two months.
After seeing the submarine, we went out to the Arizona Memorial.
It's a beautiful memorial. This was not the first time I had been there, but I was still shocked to look down into the water and see the huge ship submerged. Oil from the ship still floats in the water in certain areas.
While we ate lunch, Chariel, Emma, Charene and Rebekah staged a relay race in the courtyard.
After lunch we went over to the Missouri...
The kids were sure they move this huge chain and anchor.
Silly girls playing.
Our last stop of the day was at the Pacific Aviation Museum.

Hope to take our kids here some day! All your pictures are reminding me of my honeymoon! (since that's the last time we were in Oahu... and we visited all the same places :)
I've been to Hawaii many times, and for one reason or another, have never been to Pearl Harbor ... it makes me so sad. These pictures are great though ... I so hope I can take my kids here some day.
