In the Midwest, the farmers have an old expression that they use to describe a healthy crop of sweet corn, they say it will be "Knee High by the 4th of July."
Well, this is knee high alright!! I'm not sure if we can thank global warming for this, but just about every year since Alyssa has been born we've had a very similar opportunity to take photos of corn that is well over head high, not knee high by the 4th. I remember as a little girl looking out at fields of corn and debating whether it was knee high or not. There's no question this year, the farmers can expect a plentiful, healthy crop!

Wow, knee high to a giant this year, huh!! :) I'm looking forward to some fresh corn :)
